"MEMORIES ,SWEET MEMORIES"

Hello ppl im back after a really long hiatus!! I'm sorry but i had good reason to be away it was my closest cousins wedding reception.What about the wedding you ask, well that was in poland & i wasn't able to attend it because of a certain institution called "educational institution-college", i had to stay back to assure them that i am alive & present in college & am studyin regularly & therefore can give my boards! whew!! long sentence!
Anyway since i missed the wedding i made sure i made up for it when the lovely newly weds came down to india.My cousin Leslie is my favourite brother,he'e the most amazing "i love you so much , im so protective about you,but im not gonna smother you with my love" type brothers, great isn't he! Well he does more than just being an amazing brother to me ,he's an amazing brother to his two sisters these 3 are ma favourite cousins from my dads side, i love these guys,im very very close to them.He was born & brought up in bombay(im sorry still cant call it mumbai!).He went to london for his M.B.A & he met his wife-to-be "anna-she's a sweetheart".She's polish & she's ohh so cute,so gentle,so soft-spoken,so........ I can go on & on & on.
They met,they fell in love and got married in polland,had a reception there,came down to bombay & had another reception here!
I went and met them as soon as my exams got over we freaked out so much we sat and talked into the nite like old times,my sis-sophie,leslie-anna & me.We had so many things to catch up on.So many secrets to spill, i had some to spill too, and my brother was playing his part to the hilt "who's this boyfriend of your's i wanna meet him' & all the leg pulling that ensued after that.........We spent the whole night catching up.That left us with just 1 more day for the reception.
This is the reason why i have been away for a really long time,i was busy spending time with my cousins & my whole family,getting ready for da reception & all ,it was too much fun!!The last time i was so involved with a wedding was really long ago when i was in da 5th or something for my sisters wedding.Now that im all grown up and all its very different you have to be there with the bride as she has no other family besides us here in india,welcome people, get introduced to people & relatives you havent seen before and in all probability will never see again,who are seeing you for the 2nd time ,the 1st time being when you were really small & then they exclaim you have grown so much........well yeah people grow ,if i dint then it would be wierd rite? lol!!
Well some of them who had seen me 2 days ago couldnt recognise me there is a reason for that ,that is cos i was wearing a saree,so not like me cos they havent seen me in one ever!!They have seen me grow up in jeans & skirts & stuff! But i must say it was nice being all grown up & looking the part (for once)& accepting all da compliments,neglecting all the stares (was wearin a halter blouse....lol).I had no idea my family will be so glad to see me in a saree all grown up & all,i was hugged and kissed and hugged again and kissed some more,given complimets,i felt like a princess.The reception was on the whole really lovely ,i had a ball being all over the place & taking care of things & all that except my cousins had to pull my leg saying im da last one ill be the next one getting married.Yeah true that ,but atleast not for another few years i was like "puhlease , leave me alone".
After the reception was "leslie & anna's" 1st day in church the following sunday.THe whole week after was dedicated to a few more gatherings,drinking ,shopping and some more shopping.Following up on his previously made threat that he wants to meet my boyfriend he wanted my guy to spend a day with them just leslie anna my guy & me -a whole day out,which also gives anna the chance to sight see(well whatever little there is to see),cos all she did since she came was meet people,and shop...It was an amazing day,we shopped some more asking two girls to not shop on a day out is way too much!!!hehehe.........
Poor anna she was so tired n her face had become all red-the heat has really become unbearable these days,if its so bad for us, i donno wat the more thing must have gone through.........
Yesterday we spent our last night together , we sat and watched the wedding dvd and ate and talked some more and today morning we all said our sad goodbye's(leslie & anna are on their way back to london rite now)& we all went our seperate ways ,to our respective houses.I waved my last goodbye(till they come back whis is in all probability next year)I turned around & walked away with nothing but sweet memories to remember them by.............and the pictures we took together....
Im gonna miss them soooooooooooooooo much!!I had so much fun these last few days,its amazing sometimes how much happiness we can pack into a few days.........& memories to last a lifetime...
